Cox Media Group Ohio Announces Dayton Kappa to Lead One of Two Newly Created Organizations

As it continues maximizing the expertise and talents of its industry-leading media professionals across its portfolio of radio, television, publishing and digital businesses, Cox Media Group Ohio (CMG Ohio) has named two of its senior managers to lead newly created organizations.

James Cosby has been named to the new position of vice president of media sales, Dayton region. Cosby, who has been serving as the vice president of broadcast sales for television and radio, has assumed the additional responsibility for publishing and digital sales. Cosby will be responsible for Dayton and Springfield sales teams representing all Cox Media Group Ohio media platforms. This new sales organization will be responsible for accelerating multi-platform media opportunities to position CMG Ohio and its advertisers and consumers for future growth.

Cosby has nearly 30 years of experience in the media industry, beginning as a sales manager in the television industry. Cosby, who has held a succession of management positions of increasing responsibility, will report to Rob Rohr, senior vice president of sales.

“James has a passion for our clients and our business that is unmatched and now he will be able to lead our market development efforts with the help of our talented Dayton and Springfield multimedia sales teams,” said Julia Wallace, market vice president, CMG Ohio.
